Bernard E. "Bernie" Admire 76, passed away Sunday, June 30, 2013, in Franklin. He was a resident of Franklin.

He was born September 9, 1936, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Earl Edward and Vera Marguerite (Bushnell) Admire. He married Emma A. "Sug" Admire on March 18, 1960.

Survivors include four sons, Burke (Pam) Admire, John (Patricia) Admire, James (Elizabeth) Admire and Thomas (Erica) Admire; grandchildren, Sarah (Dustin) Cromer, Alexander (Veronica) Admire, Craig Admire, Carrie Admire, Rebecca Admire, Jessica Admire, George Admire, Joseph Admire, Bryce Admire and Alexis Admire; and one great-grandson, Blake Admire. Also surviving is one brother, Gary (Jayne) Admire.

He was preceded in passing by his parents and his loving wife of fifty-three years, Sug, who passed away June 10, 2013.

Bernie was a 1954 graduate of Morgantown High School. He was an Industrial Sales Representative and Manager for Central Rubber and Supply Company and its successors, The Gage Company and Ferguson Enterprises. He retired in 2002 after forty-five years of loyal service. Bernie was the recipient of numerous Distinguished Salesman Awards presented by the Sales and Marketing Executives of Indianapolis, Inc.

He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Franklin. He was also a member of the Elks Lodge, BPOE No. 1818; a fifty-one year member and past president of Hillview Country Club, and the Eight Around the Table Card Club.

A celebration of Bernie's life will be conducted Wednesday, July 3, 2013, at 10:00 a.m. at Grace United Methodist Church, 1300 E. Adams Drive, Franklin, Indiana, with Rev. Robert Coleman and Rev. William Horner officiating. Friends may call on Tuesday, July 2, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the church. A private family burial will be held at Greenlawn Cemetery.

Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 North Morton Street, (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin, is handling arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Grace United Methodist Church, 1300 E. Adams Drive, Franklin, IN 46131.
