Homer Lloyd Sr.
Homer A. Lloyd Sr., 54, of 212 liberty St., Marianna, died about 1 a.m. Thursday at Kennedy Veterans Hospital in Memphis, where he had been in poor health for several years and critical since Tuesday.
He was born April 24, 1917, in Tupelo, Miss. And was the son of Mattie Mills Lloyd and Grover Lloyd. He had lived in Keiser and Forrest City prior to moving to Marianna in 1963.
He owned and operated Lloyd's Maket in Marianna.
Mr. Lloyd was a member of the Church of Christ and a World War II veteran.]
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Belah Lloyd of Marianna; four sons, Walter Lloyd of Little Rock, Bob Lloyd of Tenessee, Homer Lloyd Jr. of Forrest City and Johnny Lloyd of Marianna; four daughters, Mrs.Betty Hartsfield of Blytheville, Mrs. Patty Willis of Marianna, Miss Sue Lloyd of Marianna and Miss Etta Lloyd of Marriana; five brothers, Cecil Lloyd of Memphis, Grover Lloyd of Osceola, J. T. Lloyd of Georgia, Max Lloyd of California and Harold Lloyd of California; two sisters, Mrs. Marie Tito of California and Mrs. Lily Sulfridge of Tennessee, 15 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services in the Stevens Funeral Home Chapel will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, by Rev. Marion Crouse. Burial will be in Forrest Park Cemetery.
