Sylvia E. Sexton Anderson, 60, died at 5:25 AM [Nov. 21, 1977] in St. Elizabeth Hospital, where she had been a patient two weeks. Born near Pleasant Plains, IL, she had resided in Lafayette for several years. She was first married in 1942 to Glessnor C. Bodkins, who died in 1968. Her second marriage was to Charles A. Anderson, Jr., who survives. Mrs. Anderson was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary.
Surviving with her husband are a daughter, Mrs. Patricia Sewell of Melbourne, FL; three sisters, Mrs. Ruth Bartholomew, Mrs. Betty Kamp, both of Lafayette, and Mrs. M.A. Raney of Longwood, FL; three granddaughters, two great-granddaughters; and her mother-in-law, Mrs. Ruth Anderson of Lafayette. Her mother, Mrs. Alma Sexton, preceded her in death in January, 1977.
