Played Piano by ear. Called Jew or Rabbi by friends. Although he was not either one that I know of. Died such a young age. Inducted at Jefferson Barracks. Private Army WW I. Died of TB.
I can only tell of the few memories from his daughter that was just a kid when her dad died. She just had a very few. She knew he loved to tease her mother, his wife. He had quite a sense of humor. A practical jokester at times. He would always make his beloved Nettie blush and redden as he teased her.
His wife so shy and quiet, so even teased about some food would make her blush if he said something.
His parents had a dray service in Branson, MO. A pair of horses must have been more famous than any of the drivers. They were named Ball and Jack. Every opportunity they got they would get away from the driver, the town runaways they were.
One of the stories about this pair was a bolt of lightening struck, and they bolted....well it seems not much left of the wagon when they were finished with it.
She remembers her father having a friend Chris Meadows in Branson. Chris is buried in the Ozark Memorial Park in Branson, Tany, MO. All of what he knew of this man is also now lost.
