Sarah Belle Armitage was the daughter of Harry Armitage and Ellen. She was a member of the order of the Eastern Star. She married William Charles Guy. Their children are Elizabeth, Harry, Benjamin, Lillian, Helen and Evelyn.

OBITUARY: DAVENPORT DEMOCRAT & LEADER - MRS. W. C. GUY DIES (Died 6 Sep 1948) Mrs. Sarah Belle Guy, 928 East Fifteenth street, a life resident of Davenport and widow of W. C. Guy, veteran post office employee and former superintendent of mails died at 9:30 p.m. Monday after a lingering illness. Death occurred at the home of her daughter, Mr. W. A. Ceperley, 1117 Arlington avenue. She was 78 years of age. Mrs. Guy, daughter of the late Harry and Ellen Armitage, pioneer residents was born Aug 6, 1870, attended the city schools and was married to Mr. Guy Nov. 16, 1887. She was a member of the Mt. Ida Presbyterian church and Davenport Chapter No. 178, Order of Eastern Star. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Ceperley and Mrs. Lillian Roege, both of Davenport, Miss Evelyn Guy at home and Mrs. Helen Dunn, Cedar Rapids; a son, Harry Guy, Moline; 12 grandchildren and four great grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews. One son, Ben Guy, died in 1934. Mr. Guy died four years ago. The body was removed to the Hill & Fredericks mortuary.
