Her marriage to Carl Johnson, whom she had met in the Rose Grove church under Pastor Simonson, was on October 15, 1922. Reverend Westphal conducted the service, with Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Westwick being witnesses. Mr. Johnson farmed a short while before becoming a truck driver and mechanic. he has been active for many years in the Story City Lutheran Church Sunday School, as a teacher and superintendent. Carl and Anna had one child, Carroll Eugene Johnson, who died in early infancy. he is buried in the Jewell Cemetery. Mrs. Johnson is still very active as a seamstress and homemaker at 408 Lafayette, Story City, Iowa.
