Mrs. Thelma Margaret Webb Miller, 81, of 10 E. 13th St., Frederick, died Sunday, July 25, at Frederick Memorial Hospital.
She was the wife of Charles Edgar Miller, who died Jan. 24, 1998.
Born Dec. 11, 1917, in Thurmont, she was a daughter of the late Francis Lloyd and Esther Grace Shindledecker Webb.
After graduating from Thurmont High School in 1935, Mrs. Miller attended Frederick Memorial School of Nursing and graduated in 1939.
She worked for 45 years at Frederick Memorial Hospital as a registered nurse.
Mrs. Miller was a lifetime member of Weller United Methodist Church, Thurmont.
She was a member of Thurmont Senior Citizens and Francis Scott Key American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Frederick.
She enjoyed traveling, often taking bus trips with Thurmont Senior Citizens. She was a Baltimore Orioles fan and, after retirement, an avid bowler.
Surviving are two sisters, F. Grace Starner of Hanover, Pa., and Evelyn V. Shorb Harbaugh of Thurmont; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Mrs. Miller will also be remembered by three godchildren, Ginger and Tyler Donnelly, and David Coblentz, all of Thurmont; and devoted friends Mr. and Mrs. Jim Bell, Evelynn Heck, Polly Ann Knox, and Janice Koci.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday, July 26, and from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, July 27, at Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick.
Funeral services will begin at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 28, at the funeral home. The Rev. Ruth Ann Miller, pastor of Weller United Methodist Church, Thurmont, will officiate.
Interment will be in Weller Church Cemetery, Thurmont.
