Leonard, a resident of Carnegie for many years, visited his sister here Monday and Tuesday of Last week and also attended the domino tournament where he renewed acquaintances with many old friends.
Born April 24, 1900, at Tonkawa, Okla., Leonard came with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. H.H. Leonard to Carnegie in 1910, attended the local schools and assisted his father in the family dray business. He was married to Leona Dowdy of the Cowden community on July 20, 1919.
For many years he and his brother, Herbert, owned and managed the Big-4 Freight line. This was later sold to Leeway. The family moved to Del City where he continued as a driver until he retired and moved to Cedar Lake.
