Marjorie Joan Ridlehuber, 81, of Amarillo died Monday, Feb. 19, 2007.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in City of Lubbock Cemetery with Bruce Cotton officiating. Arrangements are by Rix Funeral Directors of Lubbock.

Joan was born May 27, 1925, to Earl Ray and Margie Leona Dowdy Leonard in Carnegie, Okla. She married Robert L. Ridlehuber on Feb. 4, 1945, in Hobart, Okla. Bob died in 1991. Joan was a World War II "Rosie the Riveter" and a medical transcriptionist. She was a Baptist.

Survivors include a daughter, Sue Ridlehuber White of Amarillo; two grandsons, Kelley Robert and wife Brandy of Amarillo and Joey Ray and wife Michelle of Midland; a granddaughter, Cristen White of Wheeler; five great-grandchildren, Brooke and Keenan White of Wheeler, Jentry and Jake White of Midland and Katyn Fuller of Amarillo; a great-great-granddaughter, Rheadyn Robles of Wheeler; and a friend, Kenneth Ray White.
