Verdell LaMar Jacobson, 76, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend passed away Feb. 19, 1999 in Murray, Utah, due to complications of cancer.

Born June 15, 1922 in Vernal, Utah to David Olius and Agnes Ellen O'Neil Jacobson. He was the 13th of 15 children. He served in the Navy during World War II. Married Cleo Fox on Sept. 29, 1946. He worked as a home builder for 42 years, retiring in 1986 from Prowswood. He loved traveling, boating, fishing, water skiing, and gardening.Survived by wife of 52 years; daughter, Karla (Floyd) Nye, Sandy; sons, Terry (Anita) of Riverton; Scott (Margie) of West Jordan; five grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; two foster granddaughters and families; sister, Verona Pease, Sandy; brothers, Noel (Ethel) of Kearns, Gordon Jacobson, Salt Lake City; and three precious sisters-in-law.

Funeral services will be held Wed., February 24, 1999, 12 noon, Hillcrest LDS Ward, 495 E. 5600 S. Friends may call Tues. 6-8 p.m. at the Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 S. State and Wed. 11-11:50 a.m. at the church. Interment, Elysian Gardens.
