A Mass of Christian burial will be 11 a.m. Monday at St. Hyacinth's Catholic Church, the Rev. Paul Carlson officiating. Visitation will be 10 a.m. Monday until the time of Mass in the church.
Full military rites will be conducted by the La Salle-Oglesby Veterans Memorial Group. Burial will be at St. Vincent's Cemetery La Salle.
He was born Nov.16, 1918, in La Salle to Anton and Anna (Klansek) Oklesen.
He was a member of St. Hyacinth's Catholic Church, La Salle. He worked as a machinist for Electric Utilities Co., La Salle. He served in World II as a corporal in North Africa and Italy.
He is survived by one sister, Dorothy Nagle of La Salle; two brothers, John (Grace) Oklesen and Vince Oklesen, both of La Salle; many nieces, great-nieces, great-great- nieces; nephews, great-nephews and great-great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and five brothers.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family.
