Note from contributor Ben Toney: Thomas Pinson was born ca. 1838 in GA. About 1866, he married Mrs. Melissa/Malissa Caroline (Gee) Gill, the widow of John L. Gill, Jr. who had died ca. 1862 after service in the Civil War. Caroline Gee, b. 1833 in Butts Co. Ga., was the mother of Rosa Lynn Kerr, and the daughter of Samuel and Margaret (Kennedy) Gee.
