Antonia was born in Liebstadt, Saxony, Germany (south of Dresden) in 1890 and left for the US in 1891 with her family at the age of only 14 months.
Antonia married Otto Bergman in Jan 1912 and they settled down in Spokane until 1919 when they moved to Alaska.
