Thomas J Clubb was 7th of eight known children born in Jasper county, Missouri.

1870 United States Federal Census enumerated on the 10th day of August reported Rhoda Clubb as living in Marion Twp., Jasper county, Missouri. Her husband, Peter W. Clubb had passed away in 1863 during the Civil War of typhus in a Post Hospital.
Rhoda gave her age as being 50, born in 1820 in Missouri.
Her listed children were:
Anna C. age 19, George W. age 17, James F. age 14, Thomas J. age 10 and Rhoda R. age 7.

On the 1900 United States Federal Census, we find Thomas, age 39 and his wife Sadie, age 39, whom he married in March 1894 in Madison Twp. east of Carthage. He has a job working day labor. They have 3 children; Audry 4, Archie age 2 and Cora age 4 months.

They were divorced after three children and Thankful Sidney "Saddie" Manley is found in Kansas on 1915 State census married to Charles Francis Abernathy (1876-1934).

Sadly, we find Thomas listed on the 1930 Census as being divorced and in Springfield, MO. at the Greene county jail. Reasons unknown.

On April 4, 1930 he died from injuries he sustained in an attempt to take his own life according to his Missouri Death Certificate, and died in Springfield Baptist Hospital.
Buried in Hazelwood Cemetery in Springfield on April 19, 1930 almost a week and a half after his death.

NOTE

This is obviously a county burial and records can be sketchy if they are put in a county burial area, aka paupers field.
My thanks to Judy Young for her efforts in trying to track the grave down.

FOOTNOTE: Contributor Calcat has provided the following extra information;
Thankful was married 3 times - first to Thomas Jefferson Clubb on March 24, 1894 in Jasper County, Missouri. Her second marriage was to Richard Henry Taylor on July 13, 1907 in Carterville, Jasper, Missouri. Apparently, from newspaper article in Wichita, Kansas in 1910, it was reported that Richard Taylor deserted his wife and children in August 1910 and in September 1910, Thankful filed for divorce. She married her third husband, Charles Francis Abernathy, between 1910 and 1915. He died in 1956 and is buried at the same cemetery as she is (Greenwood Cemetery in Wichita, Kansas).
