Nellie C. Butler, 80, of Meyersdale, died July 8, 1996 at Meyersdale Medical Center. Born June 3, 1916 in Oakland, a daughter of the late George and Mary (Poe) Purnell.
Survived by her husband of 51 years, Byard F. Butler. Also survived by four nieces: Gloria Mae Lee, Albuquerque, NM; Peggy Purnell, Denver, CO; Mary Ruth Danser, Houston, TX; Barbara Church, Baltimore, Maryland.
A member of the Methodist Church, Mountain Lake Park, Maryland. Retired from Meyersdale Manufacturing with 31 years of service.
Friends will be received from 7 to 9 PM Wednesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM Thursday at the price Funeral Home, Meyersdale, where service will be conducted at 11 AM Friday. Interment Union Cemetery, Meyersdale.
