Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Fairview Cemetery in Pampa with Ran Southard, his son, officiating. Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa.
Mr. Southard was employed by Cabot Corp., retiring as a plant foreman after 41 years of service. He was instrumental in the last 15 years of his life in helping start a summer camp and children's home for children with learning disabilities in the Kerrville area.
Survivors include his children, Jeanette Edwina Harmon and Yoby Angeline Southard, both of Lake Dallas, Rand Southard of Kerrville, and Guy Sherman Holly and Linnie Farrell Southard, both of Lisbon, Iowa; two sisters, Marie Casey and Beth Riley, both of Monahans; three brothers, Don Southard of Lisbon, Dale Southard of Amarillo and Lawrence Southard of California; and 15 grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to Star Ranch, 149 Camp Scenic Loop, Ingram, TX 78025.
