Bee, the daughter of Leonard Rush "L.R." Hamrick (1885-1952) and Permelia Angaline "Mealy" Dennis (1889-1965), was the fourth of eleven children. While raising their children, the Hamricks move all around Texas and even sojourned to a few other states as well. Around 1931, Bee married Guy Ivy Holly (1912-2005), the son of Larkin Christopher "Wease" Holly (1879-1949) and Yoby Emaline Holly (1880-1941). The couple had two daughters and a son.

On May 28, 1949, Bee married Edwin Raymond Southard (1914-2005) the son of William Southard (1891-1978) and Flossie Maize Hite (1893-1968). He was a widower with one daughter, Jeanette Edwina Southard (1940-2008), age 8 at the time of the wedding. Their family became "Your's, Mine & Our's" when their son was born July 1953.

Their life was centered around God and family. Working hard as a domestic engineer, Bee still found time to be very active at Central Church of Christ where she was a member, to hold PTA offices through her son's school career and be Den Mother for his Boy Scout troup. She was a wonderful Mother and Grandmother.

On February 8, 1974, after a long battle with cancer, Bee was relesed from pain and suffering to embark on her final journey. Her parents, four sisters, one brother, four grandsons, and two granddaughters preceded her in death. She was survived by her husband, two daughters, two sons, eleven grandchildren, two sisters, three brothers and numerous beloved nieces and nephews.

Services were at the Central Church of Christ on Fridat, February 8, 1974 at 10:00 a.m. in Pampa, Texas. Officiating was Robert L. McDonald, Pastor Central Church of Christ, assisted by long time friend and former Pastor J.B. Gillpatrick currently of Dallas, Texas.

Pallbearers: Harold Call, George Mortime, Conner Hicks, Kenny Nachlinger, Flip Darcy and Charlie Patton.
