Jeanette Edwina Southard was the daughter of Edwin Raymond Southard and Juanita Cockrell. Her mother died when she was three and she was raised by her father's 2nd wife, Molly Bernice Hamrick. She was married twice, first to Tas Albert Stribling then to Jerry Floyd Harmon on 8 Dec 1958 in Robert Lee, TX. Jerry and Jeanette divorced on 17 Dec 1970. Jeanette had three children, Jeanette Lea Boyd, Darwin Floyd and Jerry Damond Harmon. Later she had three dogs who were like children to her, Candy Cane, Lacy Noelle and Bambi Mir. Candy Cane preceeded her in death.
Jeanette had provided her bio in August of 2003 in preparation for her Pampa High School 45th reunion.
"In the years following our time at Pampa High, the good Lord blessed me in a multitude of ways. My life is centered around church, family, friends and community activities. In the earlier years my time was filled raising three children ... two sons and a daughter. My branch of the family tree has grown and includes three granddaughters and two darling great-granddaughters. Of course the patriarch of our family, my dad, Edwin R. Southard, who will be celebrating his 89th birthday this October, has been the mainstay in my life from it's very beginning, and he now has become my best friend. He and I travel around the country when we can ... he especially burns a trail on the roads between Pampa, the Metroplex and the Hill Country of Texas. My hobbies also include art, using oils, chalks, charcoal and watercolors. I paint / draw landscapes, still-lives and portraits. I also have two precious little dogs that provide loving companionship but require much energy and reminds me of my child raising years ... I've started all over. God is good."

She was preceded in death by her parents and by her second mother, Molly Bernice Southard. Survivors include a daughter, Jeanette Boyd; two sons, Darwin Harmon and Jerry Damond Harmon; a brother, Rand Southard; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Ashes scattered on Mt Graham in Safford, Arizona during the Thanksgiving Holiday's November 2009 while Jeanette Boyd was visting her brother, Darwin Harmon and his wife Joan. The mountain top was inacessible as it had snowed. A beautiful, snow covered trail was followed to finf the perfect spot, a quite place next to a brooke that flows the year-round. May she rest in peace.
