Born in 10 February 1916 in Spring Hill (Township), MN; Rose Bernadine was the fifth of twelve children born to Frank & Mary K. (Braun) Weisser.

"Mrs. Rose Bernadine Savonen, age 97, passed away Monday, February 18, 2013 at the Seymour Crossing Nursing Home.

"Rose attended school in Spring Hill, MN and college in Antigo, WI. In 1948 she married Carl Lewis Savonen Jr. They spent most of their married life in Seymour, IN where they enjoyed showing and caring for their quarterhorses. Rose & Carl were previous owners of the A&W Drive-In Restaurant and CowTown Steakhouse, both formerly in Seymour.

"Rose was a member of Saint Ambrose Catholic Church. She was a member of the Elks Club, Elks Auxillary, Legion of Mary Auxillary, Hospial Guild, & Farm Bureau.

"Surviving her are son, Ronald Karl Savonen, granddaughter Traci (Chad) DeBord, and two grandsons, Jordan & Dylan Peters, two sisters Lee Lengas & Lal Zimmer.

"She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two brothers and five sisters."
