"A Quiet Wedding of Prominent Evangelical People.
A quiet wedding took place near Inland, O., on the 23d inst., Rev. H,J. Bowman, of Jewel City, Kas., and Kate D. Klinefelter of Inland, being the contracting parties, and Revs. A. Vandersall and E. M. Spreng, the officiating clergymen. A few of the bride's many friends witnessed the impressive ceremony and shared the modest festivities of the occasion. Both the bride and the groom have been prominent members and workers of the Evangelical Association for many years. Mr. Bowman has been a faithful and successful minister of the Gospel, and is held in high esteem by all who know him. He has served two terms of four years each, as editor of the Living Epistle, a monthly magazine devoted to the spread of Scriptural truth; and of the Sunday School literature of his church. One of his daughters, the wife of a minister of the same denomination, is sharing the trials and toils and joys of missionary life in Japan. Several years ago Mr. Bowman moved from this State to Kansas, where he still resides, but will doubtless in the near future return to Ohio and become a citizen of Akron. Mrs. Bowman is widely known as an earnest, consecrated Christian lady. The Gospel has her liberal support, both in money and faithful endeavor. She is by consecration and experience in church work well fitted to fulfill the duties of a minister's wife, and will, without doubt, prove a 'help meet', indeed. The good wishes of many friends go with the deserving pair, wherever they may cast their lot."
Summit County Beacon, Akron, OH, Wednesday, October 28, 1890, p. 3

"Mrs. Kate Bowman returned Monday from Cleveland, where she has been the past 10 days, visiting friends and attending the Women's Christian Temperance Union Convention."
Summit County Beacon, Akron, OH, Tuesday, November 27, 1894, p. 3

"Mrs. Kate Bowman, who suffered a stroke of paralysis last week, is improving, though still confined to her bed."
Akron {OH} Beacon Journal, Friday, July 9, 1909, p. 8

Catharine was born in, and died in, Green Township, Summit County, OH.
"Mrs. Kate Bowman died at her home, one and one-half miles west of Greensburg, Wednesday, July 21."
Akron {OH} Beacon Journal, Friday, July 30, 1909, p. 9
