"Mr. Adam Klinefelter died on last Friday evening. He has been very feeble for the past year and for the last week or two could not leave his bed, the main cause being old age, he being 81 years, 10 months and 21 days old. He leaves a wife and six children, three of whom are in the West.
The funeral took place yesterday. The procession started from the house at half-past one, for the old graveyard, where the remains were interred. The church services were conducted by Rev. Mr. Hammer, of Cleveland, assisted by Revs. Messrs. Hahn, Houpt, Vandersall and Burket. The sermon, which was delivered by Rev. Hammer, was in German. The text was the 29th and 30th verses of the 2d chapter of St. Luke. The deceased was a minister, having entered upon the itineracy in the year 1817. He was married in 1825 to Miss Dillman with whom he lived until his death."
