Norman L. Pomeroy, 70, of Lusk, Wyo. died on Dec. 5, 2010, while sitting on his favorite stool watching football. Norm was born on Dec. 24, 1939 to Melvin and Louise Pomeroy of Torrington.

Norm married Janette Potter Nov. 20, 1960. They raised their four children in Powell, Wyo. Norm and Jan enjoyed many years of travel throughout the west and southwest before they settled in Lusk. He enjoyed camping, fishing, demolition derbies, playing pool, cards and visiting with his friends. He enjoyed an annual family celebration in Meeteetse, Wyo. each Labor Day.

Norm is survived by his children, Debra (Larry) Nordberg of Meeteetse, Wyo.; Mike Pomeroy (Meri Sandlin) of Brighton, Colo.; Roxanne Smith of Powell, Wyo.; Trudy Pomeroy (Richard Soden) of Dayton, Wyo.; sisters Beverly (Pete) Gibbs of Yoder, Wyo. and Florence Potter of Lusk, Wyo. Norm was blessed with eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Janette, sister Carol, brothers Wayne and Dwight and James S. Potter.

Memorial services will be held Dec. 11 at 10 a.m. at Crossroad Ministries, 904 South Main in Lusk, Wyo., with Pastor Tony Perry officiating. Honorary pallbearers are: Melvin Schrader, Don Gardner, Denny Hable, Tuffy Schrader, Ray Brown, and Larry Halligan. Pier Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Norm's memory may be made to: Lusk State Bank, 415 South Main, Lusk, WY 82225.

He died Sunday, Dec. 5, 2010.

Pier Funeral Home is in charge of arrangement.
