Mrs H Bramstedt Buried at Alvord
Funeral services for Mrs Adelia Bramstedt of Alvord will be held today (Thursday) in the Christ Lutheran church at Alvord with the Rev HW Schmidt in charge. Mrs Bramstedt was found dead in her home on Sunday morning by members of her family. She attained the age of 77 years.

Adelia Schemmel Bramstedt was born on March 18, 1879, in Davenport, the daughter of Fritz and Dorris Schemmel. In 1882, the family moved to a farm south of Rock Rapids. In 1902, she married Henry Bramstedt and the couple farmed in the Alvord and Inwood communities until their retirement in 1949, when they moved to Alvord. The couple celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on January 15, 1952. Mr Bramstedt preceded his wife in death early in 1956.
Mrs Bramstedt became a member of Christ Lutheran church in 1940.

Surviving her death are five children, namely, Lou of Le Mars; George of Alvord; Mrs Minnie Dubbeidee of Larchwood, Mrs Tillie Strettnichs and Henry jr of Alvord; two sisters, Mrs Clara Wilke of Alvord and Mrs Dora Holmstrom of Rock Rapids and one brother, August Schemmel of Alvord; 11 grandchildren and other relatives. Other than her husband, one daughter, two sisters and two brothers preceded her in death.
