Melva was a graduate of Arcadia High School with the Class of 1943. She was a member of the Atlanta Christian Church.
She was a homemaker who was known for her love of cooking and baking, especially her pies. She also enjoyed gardening, with planting and tending her flowers, raspberry and blackberry bushes her favorites. She enjoyed interacting with others and Sunday afternoons were usually spent visiting family and friends.
She married Donald Eugene Ehman on January 23, 1943. He preceded her in death July 3, 1989. Surviving her is a daughter: Pauletta Pennock of Atlanta, IN, a son: Dennis Gene Ehman of Noblesville, IN, grandchildren: Dennis J. (Jeff) Ehman of Noblesville, IN, Cheryl Crouch of Cicero, IN and Terri Clayton of Westfield, IN and 6 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by three brothers: Clifford, Harry and Paul Baker.
