Funeral Sunday for F. E. Stevens

Funeral services will be held at New Hope Church, Stafford County, at 2:30 p. m., Sunday for Fred E. Stevens, 43, who died Friday. The Rev. O. D. Lambert, ass'sted by the Rev. R. B. Clagett, will conduct the rites.
Mr. Stevens was a lifelong resident of Stafford. He was employed as chief clerk of the Agricultural Extension Division under County Agent W. L. Browning until three years ago when he suffered a heart attack. Later, however, he resumed his duties but was forced to abandon them three months ago when he suffered another heart attack.
Mr. Stevens married Miss Pearle Garrison and of this union two children were born. They are Fred, Jr., and Mary Helen. He is also survived by his parents and one brother.
The deceased was an active church worker, superintendent of New Hope Sunday School and a steward of New Hope Church.
