Rosa Domenica Ferrero-Perolin was born June 7, 1869 in Baldissero Canavese, Torino, Piemonte, Italy to Martino Giacomo Ferrero-Perolin and Teresa Domenica Andre. She was the oldest of 10 children. Her brother Anton Ferrero, Memorial ID#74842176, lived in Lead, South Dakota and she was mentioned in his obituary in 1926. She immigrated to the United States through New York in March 1891 and settled in Terraville. She married Joseph Bernardi Civretto on June 23, 1891 at his Terraville, Lawrence County, South Dakota home. They had four children Jesse b. 1892, Mary b. 1894, Martin b. 1896 and Joseph b. 1897. She became a widow on July 4, 1897 after her husband Joseph's death. Rose Civretto raised her four children and eventually travelled and moved to California in July 1928 with her daughter Mary Menghini and her children Joseph and Marirose Menghini. She settled in Oakland, California and later moved to Wilmington/San Pedro, California and died there on January 24, 1941.
