Mildred Adams Stark, 89, of Lumberton, died Sunday, Jan. 20, 2002 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, Jan. 21, 2002 at E.E. Stringer Funeral Home in Kirbyville with burial at Friendship Cemetery near Roganville. A native of Bleakwood, she was a former resident of the Roganville area and had lived in Lumberton for 12 years. She is survived by 3 sons, J.E. Adams of Plano; Charles Adams of Livingston; and Hugh Adams of Spurger; 3 daughters, Shirley Fondren of Lumberton; Janice Gilbert of Mineral Wells; and Ernestine Turpin of Justin, Texas; a sister, Irene Hawthorne of Silsbee; 24 grandchildren; 48 great grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren.
