Fonzo Miles Stark, 87, of Lumberton died Wednesday at his residence.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at E. E. Stringer Funeral Home in Kirbyville with burial at Davis Cemetery in Fawil. Visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m. today at the funeral home.

A native of Newton County, he lived in the Friendship community most of his life before moving to Lumberton three years ago. He was a retired track foreman.

Survivors include his wife, Mildred Catherine Stark of Lumberton; daughter, Jimmie Whitsman of Houston; stepsons, J. E. Adams of California, Charles Adams of Livingston and Hugh Adams of Spurger; stepdaughters, Shirley Fondren of Lumberton, Janice Gilbert of Mineral Wells and Ernestine Turpin of Carthage; brother, Clint B. Stark of Kirbyville; sister, Annie Hooks of Kirbyville; 31 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
