COSHOCTON: Winifred E.Lahna, 90, of Coshocton, Ohio, passed away on Mon, Jan 21, 2013, at Lafayette Pointe Care Center, W.Lafayette, Ohio.
Winifred was born in Coshocton County, Ohio, on May 17, 1922, the daughter of the late Patrick & Maude (Caley) White. She attended school in Wills Creek, Ohio, & at Sacred Heart School in Coshocton. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, & great grandmother. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, & along with her husband, Ben, cared for & maintained Our Lady of Lourdes Church & Cemetery grounds. On Oct 21, 1942, she married Benjamin C.Lahna, who preceded her in death on Feb 8, 2011.
She is survived by her son: Joseph (Ann) Lahna; her daughters: Sandra Brill, Catherine (Troy) Darr, Debra (Jim) Porteus, & Vicki (Rex) Lahna, all of Coshocton County.
She was preceded in death by her son: Benjamin A.Lahna; brothers: Leo, Pat, Lawrence; & her sisters: Margaret, Agnes, & Bernadine.
A Funeral Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Coshocton, Ohio, on Fri, Jan 25, 2013, at 10:30am, with Father William Hritsko officiating. Burial will follow in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery. There will be no public visitation, but the family will receive friends at the Knights of Columbus Hall following the burial.
