He died Friday, March 29, 2002, in Chambersburg Hospital.
Born March 10, 1925, in Shippensburg, a son of the late Roy J. Sr. and Esther M. Cook Coldsmith, he retired in 1987 from SKF Industries, formerly of Shippensburg. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
He attended the Prince Street United Brethren Church was a member of Durff-Kuhn VFW Post 6168, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, NASCAR racing and woodworking.
Mr. Coldsmith is survived by his wife of 55 years, June A. Meck Coldsmith; a son, Thomas R. of Shippensburg; two daughters, Donna M. Stevens of Shippensburg and Brenda L. Wenger of Chambersburg; a brother, Charles of Shippensburg; a half-sister, Patricia Robinson of Shippensburg; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, a granddaughter, a brother, and a half-sister.
The Rev. Garry L. Culler will officiate at services. Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens, Greene Township.
Friends may call Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
