LaVada Simpson, age 66 of Nevada, TX, passed away May 12, 2013. She was born October 29, 1946 in Sulphur Springs, TX, to Loye B. Adams, Sr. & Lillian Beatrice (Anglin) Adams. LaVada graduated from the 1965 class of Sulphur Springs High School and married Charles Frank Simpson on May 21, 1965. She was the collections director of the Central Appraisal District for Rockwall County and a member of First Baptist Church of Lavon.
LaVada is survived by her husband Charles Simpson of Nevada, TX; son: Joe Simpson & wife Robin of Morehead, KY; sisters: Helen Dunavin of Greenville, TX, Mozelle Rutledge & husband Jim of Amarillo, TX, Edith White & husband Mack of Quitman, TX, and Patsy Boshears & Roger Crawford of Sulphur Springs, TX; brothers: Loye B, Adams, Jr. of Sulphur Springs, TX, and Ray Adams of Houston, TX; and granddaughter: Molly Simpson of Morehead, KY. She was preceded in death by her son: Chuck Simpson on February 13, 1974; sister: Ina Thompson; and brother: Billy Jack Adams.
Funeral services will be held 2:00pm, Thursday, May 16, 2013 at Rest Haven Funeral Home – Rockwall Chapel with Rev. Clint Bratcher officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00pm.
