Funeral services for Samuel H. Pounds, former city employee, will be held at 9:30 a. m. Saturday in the Howard Mortuary. Burial will be in Crown Hill.
Mr. Pounds, employed by the City Parks Department before his retirement June 6, 1952, died in his home at 1245 York st., after a long illness. He was 71.
Born in Randall, Kan., Mr. Pounds was reared and educated in Missouri Valley, Iowa. He came to Denver from Lincoln, Neb., in 1941.
Surviving are his wife, Leona; two sons, Ted of Holcomb, Kan., and Gale of Aurora; a daughter, Mrs. Mabel C. Silver of Denver; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
