Arthur N. Coates Sr. of Salem
Funeral services for Arthur N. Coates Sr., of Salem, will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 15, at Seabrook Dieckmann & Naville Funeral Homes, Market Street Chapel, New Albany, with burial in Indiana State Veteran Cemetery, Madison. He died Monday, Feb. 11, 2013, at his home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home.

Arthur N. Coates, 74, of Salem, Ind., died Monday, Feb. 11, 2013, at his home in Salem.
He was born Jan. 21, 1939, in Leitchfield, the son of Lawrence and Rosaline Gideon Coates. He was an U.S. Army veteran, serving from January 1956 to January 1960.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Launett Petry Coates; two sons, Arthur Jr., and Gary (Beth); two brothers, Arnold and Ronald (Jean) Coates; a sister, Dolores Coates (Carter) Harrell; two grandchildren, Izabella and Andrew; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Lawrence David Coates.
The funeral was Friday, Feb. 15 at Seabrook Dieckman and Naville in New Albany Ind. Pastor Jon Talbott officiated. Interment was in Indiana Veteran Memorial Cemetery in Madison, Ind.
