He was the husband of Emma (Dillon) Baker for 50 years. Born Sept. 20, 1931, in Wenksville, he was the son of the late Clyde and Wilda (Warren) Baker.
Mr. Baker was a member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church, Buchanan Valley, Orrtanna. He was employed by the Inland Container Corp., Biglerville, for 34 years. He was a life member of Arendtsville Fire Co. He also was a member of Ira Lady Post 262 American Legion in Biglerville, Buchanan Valley Rod & Gun Club, South Mountain Fish & Game Club, Adams County Fish & Game Association and Upper Adams Fish & Game Association.
Surviving also are one son, Michael D. Baker of Orrtanna; one daughter, Theresa M. Baker of Arendtsville; two grandchildren; and five brothers, Leon Baker, Charles Baker, Terry Baker and Roger Baker, all of South Mountain, and Marvin Baker of Atlantic City, N.J.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, Orrtanna, with Father Carl J. Steffen as celebrant. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
