Mrs. Mary Pearce Andrews
Mrs. Mary Pearce Andrews, 95, of Deepstep entered into rest on Saturday, April 27, 2013, following an extended illness.

Mrs. Andrews was a native of East Bernstadt, Ky., the daughter of the late Charles Allen Pearce and the late Elizabeth Templin Pearce. Mrs. Andrews was a retired seamstress with the J.P. Stephens Company and a former employee of Royal Manufacturing Company. She was a member of the Smyrna Baptist Church and a former church secretary.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 30, 2013, at May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Sandersville, with Rev. Jimmy Harris and Rev. Larry Giles officiating. Burial was in Washington County Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Felson Andrews.

Survivors include her children, Pearce Nathan "Shorty" Andrews (Joyce) of Conyers, Phyllis Andrews Carpenter (John David) of Deepstep, Uldena Andrews Denton (Al) of Deepstep, Allen Lee Andrews (Kyla) of Deepstep; 11 grandchildren, Allison Andrews, John David Carpenter, Candis C. Lanier, Andrea D. Aikman, DeAnne D. Lindsey, Travis Andrews, Christy A. Abbott, Jeannie A. Prosser, Tiffany A. Palmer, Cale Veal and Shauna Johnson; and 24 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Travis Andrews, J. D. Carpenter, Darrell Lanier, Andy Pearce, Mike Abbott, Chris Palmer, Brandon Lindsey and Ric Aikman.

Honorary pallbearers were Richard Veal, Felson Bowman, Jimmy Andrews, Larry Avant, Leonard Hart and David Lanthrip.

The family suggests donations be made to the Smyrna Baptist Church and designate it to the Trees of Hope Sawmill Ministry, in care of Deborah Bassaloff, 106 Veal Road, Sandersville, GA 31082.
