Obituary (Madison (MO) Times, Jan. 13, 1966)- George J. Bean, 67, well known farmer east of Cairo, died unexpectedly Sunday morning after arriving at the Woodland Hospital, Moberly, due to a heart attack. He had been in failing health about two years. Mr. Bean was born at Leasburg, Mo., and had lived in the Ash community northeast of Madison, most of his life. He was a member of the Hickory Grove Baptist Church. Mr. and Mrs. Bean would have observed their 50th wedding anniversary June 24 of this year. Surviving are his wife, Dimple; one son, Pollard Bean, Madison; two brothers, Bill Bean, Jacksonville and Herbert Bean, Leasburg; one grandson, David Bean, Madison, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held in the Cater Chapel, Moberly Tuesday afternoon at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Colman White. Burial was in the Hickory Grove Cemetery at Ash.
