NEW PALTZ - Frances E. Kilmer, 90, of 46 Center St., died Thursday at Eden Park Nursing Home, Poughkeepsie, after a long illness.
Mrs. Kilmer had been a New Paltz resident since 1952, moving from Tarrytown where she lived most of her life. She was born in Beacon July 8, 1889, daughter of the late Peters and Mary E. Haight Smith, and was the widow of Walter Kilmer, who died in 1962.
Surviving are two sons, Alfrederick Kilmer, Nanuet, and John E. Kilmer, Nobelsville, Ind.; two daughters, Mrs. Harriett Ahlberg, New Paltz, and Mrs. Edith Baker, Danbury, Conn.; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Pine Funeral Home, 124 Main St., New Paltz, with the Rev. Myron Ronk officiating. Burial will be in New Paltz Rural Cemetery.
