Carolina Brick married Leo Fischer on 3 Jul 1878, in St. Cloud, Minnesota. At the time of the 1880 Census, they lived in St. Joseph Township, Stearns County. They had one daughter, Catherine.
Sometime after 1880, they moved to a farm near Perham in Otter Tail County, where they had four more children. Carolina may have died in childbirth in 1886, leaving her husband with five children. The oldest daughter, Catherine, went to live with Carolina's sister, Amilia (Emily) Wimmer, who lived in Perham at that time. Catherine continued to live with the Wimmers until adulthood. The infant, Annie, was adopted by John Berger. The other three children, Antonia, Leo P, and Harriet, continued to live with their father, Leo Fischer.
