Reba Virginia (Rusmisel) Bame went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 22, 2013. She was born November 7, 1916, to the late Paul & Verna (Carroll) Rusmisel in Beaverdam, Allen County, Ohio. Reba married S. Clarence Bame on May 2, 1936, and he passed away in 1995.

Reba and Clarence had six children, and her surviving children are Ralph (Annette) Bame, Glenville, WV; John (Mary) Bame, Anacortes, WA; Linda (Carl) Bjork, Dodge City, KS; Susan Bame Hoover, Walthill, NE.

Two have preceded her in death; son Vernon died in 2011, and his wife Kathy survives in Portage, Ohio; daughter Elizabeth (Betty) Orwick Brauneller died in 2005, and her husband, Russ Brauneller, survives in Findlay, Ohio. Reba is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, David Rusmisel of Lima, Ohio in November 2012.

Reba graduated from Lima Central High School in 1933, and immediately went to nursing school at Lima Memorial Hospital. She was a life-long member of Eagle Creek Church of the Brethren, serving with husband Clarence as Deacon for many years. Reba worked on the farm, right beside her husband, for most of her life, and was a devoted wife, mother & grandmother. She also worked as a nurse's aid at Good Samaritan Nursing Home, Arlington, Ohio, for over 30 years, retiring at the young age of almost 87. In fact, her 3 sons retired before she did. In 1998, Reba received the WFIN Mother of the Year Award. She always had love in her heart and a big smile to share with everyone. Reba also enjoyed traveling, going on Hardin County Senior trips to New England, New York City, Los Angeles and Branson, Missouri, as well as many trips she and her husband took to Kansas, West Virginia and Washington State to see their grandchildren. Reba has been residing at Primrose Retirement Center the past 4 years and has enjoyed meeting new friends. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. We all have been blessed to be able to call her Mother, and know she is in the arms of Jesus and greeting her family members who have passed before her.

Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 AM on Thursday, April 25, 2013 at CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Arlington with funeral services to follow at 11:00 AM. Pastor Tom Dearth will officiate and burial will follow in Eagle Creek Cemetery.
