Betty Orwick Brauneller

Betty (Orwick) Brauneller, age 62, went to be with the Lord Jesus Christ at 10:15 a.m. Tuesday, May 3, 2005 at Blanchard Valley Regional Health Center due to the complications of a malignant tumor on her left kidney.
She was born February 7, 1943 in Bluffton to Clarence and Reba (Rusmisel) Bame; her mother survives in rural Arlington. She married R. Lynn Orwick on July 14, 1963 and he passed away November 25, 1986. Betty then married Russ L. Brauneller on December 30, 1994 and he survives. Also surviving are: two daughters, Sherri (and her fiancée, Greg Ogden) Orwick of Bowling Green; and Vicki Orwick of Minneapolis, MN; step-son, Sean (Carol) Brauneller of Shreveport, LA; step-daughter, Denise (Scott) Saylors of Atlanta, GA; three brothers, Vernon (Kathy) Bame of Portage, OH; Ralph (Annette) Bame of Glenville, West Virginia; and John (Mary) Bame of Anacortes, WA; two sisters, Linda (Carl) Bjork of Dodge City, KS; and Susan Hoover of Walthill, NE; two grandchildren, Emily; and Zachary Doss; and six step-grandchildren, Brianna; Nathan; Johnathan; and Keile Saylors; and Derek; and Ryan Brauneller.
Mrs. Brauneller was employed by Cooper Tire and Rubber Co. as an administrative assistant in International Sales. She was a vibrant woman whose strong beliefs in the Word of God encouraged her to reach out to everyone she met with love and the saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Betty founded "Jericho Road" Gospel Quartet; she also served as President of the Hancock Gospel Pavilion. She was involved in the Buckeye State Gospel Music Assoc., Northwest Ohio Gospel Music Assoc., Country Gospel Music Assoc. of America, Eagle Creek Church of the Brethren, Emmaus Walk Assoc. and co-founded the Stonebridge Church of God Single's Group.
Betty will be deeply missed by her family, friends and the many other lives she has touched.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 7, 2005 at the Upper Room Church of God, with Bishop Terry McBeath and Pastor Ben Borsay officiating. Mrs. Brauneller will be laid to rest at Arlington Cemetery next to her first husband, R. Lynn Orwick. Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Friday at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay and for one hour prior the service (10-11:00 a.m.) Saturday at the church. A reception in celebration and honor of Betty's life will be held following the committal service at The Lighthouse.
