MARJORIE M. DALRYMPLE, 89, of Bloomington, passed away on Sunday, April 7, 2013, at IU Health Hospice House of Bloomington. Born Dec. 3, 1923, in Liberty Center, Ind., she was a daughter of Luster and Gertie Reece Arnold. Marjorie received her undergraduate degree from Taylor University and her Master's Degree in Education from Purdue University, Fort Wayne. She spent her entire professional career in education as an English teacher firstly for Fort Wayne North Side High School and then Angola Middle School where she retired from in 1984. She was a member of Psi Iota Zi Sorority, the Christian Women's Association and the Steuben County Teachers Association. Marjorie leaves behind her son, James A. (Diana) Spoolstra of Bloomington; daughter, Judith Ann Quance of Bloomington; six grandchildren, Jason Spoolstra, Vanessa Wilkins, Jarrod Spoolstra, Amanda Hayes, Evan Spoolstra, and Eric Spoolstra,; six great-grandchildren; brother, Harold (Marjorie) Arnold; brother, Max (Shirley) Arnold; and sisters-in-law, Roberta and Ruth Arnold. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Robert and Dale Arnold; and husbands, Robert Spoolstra, Robert Kolb and Elijah Dalrymple. Graveside service is 2 p.m. Saturday, May 11, 2013, at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne.
