Charles (Chuck) Allan Landers, 60, left us too soon on January 31, 2006 due to complications from a recent surgery. Beloved son, husband, father, grandfather (Papa), brother, uncle and friend. He was born April 27, 1945 in Decatur, Illinois, the son of Challie and Mary (Young) Landers. He was a resident of Spokane, Washington for 58 years. He served proudly in the U.S. Army in Vietnam 1965-1966. Preceded in death by his father Challie Landers, niece, Dawn Lane, and mother in law Thelma Morton. He is survived by his mother, Mary Erickson, Noreen Landers (wife of 38 years), daughter Tahnee (Daniel) Dunlap, son Derek (Molly) Landers, sisters Ginger Lane and Roxanne Speropoulos, nephew Kurt Saffer and family, niece Robin Whitman and family and special people in his life, Don Morton, Ed and Karen Saffer, Daniel Speroupoulos, Gary Morton and Rhea Hayden. Chuck had many long time friends. He was also survived by brothers Gerald and Scott Landers and sister Rebecca Nelson and nieces and nephews that longed to meet him all of Illinois. One of the greatest joys of Chuck's life was being Papa to three special grandsons who adored visiting he and GG at every opportunity. Nicolas Dunlap, 9, Ryan Dunlap 2 1/2 and Jack Landers 2 1/2. During his career as a contractor, he built many well know restaurants and structures in the Spokane area, he was highly skilled in many things, ranging from electrical, plumbing and automotive repair, construction and just about anything you can imagine. He was the first call that most people made when they had a problem and he was always eager to help.
