BREWER - Roland Kimball Beatham, 71, of 93 Elm St., died March 8, 1988, at a Bangor hospital. He was born in Brewer, Feb. 28, 1917, the son of Leroy K. and Clara (Downes) Beatham. He was employed for many years by the Gulf Oil Corp. Roland was a member of the Second Congregational Church of Brewer and the Rising Virtue Lodge No. 10, AF & AM of Bangor. Surviving besides his wife, Lorraine (Hewes) Beatham of Brwer, are two children, Barbara E. St. Clair of Cape Mary, N.J., Peter R. Beatham of Plymouth; a nephew and his wife, Lewis R. and Peggy Hewes of Eddington; a daughter-in-law, Eleanor M. Beatham of Brewer; seven grandchildren, John St. Clair, Laura St. Clair, Kimberly Beatham, Jeffrey Beatham, Mary Elizabeth Beatham, Joshua Hewes and Aaron Hewes; one brother, Everett L. Beatham of Orrington; one sister, Patricia Fournier of Brewer; other nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends may call at Brookings-Smith, Clark Chapel, 55 S. Main St., Brewer, 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Wednesday. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday at the Second Congregational Church, Brewer, with the Rev. Arthur C. Woodward, ministrer, officiating. Spring interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Brewer. Gifts in his memory may be sent to the Roland K.
