WATERVILLE - Walter Linwood Beatham, 57, died at his home, 10 Oak Knoll Drive, Tuesday morning following an illnesss of several months. Born at Brewer, May 5, 1910, he was the son of Leroy and Clara (Downes) Beatham. He had been a Waterville resident for the past 15 years and was sales representative of Consolidated Foods Corporation. He was a member of Waterville Masonic Lodge, F. and A.M and was a former resident of Hartford Conn. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Elaine (Bergland) Beatham of Waterville; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Beatham of Brewer; a son, Fred Beatham of Boston; three brothers, Curtis D. and Roland K., both of Brewer, Everett L. of Orrington; a sister, Mrs. Patricia Grass of Orrington; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at the Redington Funeral Home in Waterville at 1:30 p.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Brewer, with committal services there at 3:30 p.m. Thursday with the Rev. Leslie Howland of the Pleasant Street Methodist Church in Waterville officiating. Visiting hours at the funeral home Wednesday will be 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Funeral services for awalter L. Beatham were held at teh Redington Funeral Home Thursday at 1:30 p.m. with teh Rev. Leslie Howland of the Pleasant Street Methodist Church officiating. Masonic memorial services were conducted at teh funeral home Wednesday evening at 7 p.m. Bearers were Leo Rancourt, Ralph Parker, Walter Backman, Arthur Brann, Hugh Berglund and Harold Berglund. Interment was in teh Oak Hill Cemetery, Brwer, where committal services were conducted at 2:20 p.m. by the Rev. Mr. Howland.
