Leroy K. Beatham, 88, died at a local hospital Oct. 5. He resided at 36 Getchell. Mr. Beatham was born June 10, 1882 in Macwahoc, son of the Late Orrin and Pheobe (Kimball) Beatham. He was a member and honorary deacon of the Second Congregational Church in South Brewer; a member of St. Andrew's Lodge, F. & A.M., Bangor; and a member and councilor of the Penobscot Conservation Club in Brewer. Beatham was employed for many years by the Railway Express and retired in 1947. Surviving besides his widow Mrs. Clara B. Beatham of Brewer, are; one daughter, Mrs. Patricia Grass of Orrington; three sons, Everett of Orrington, Curtis and Roland, both of Brewer; two sisters, Mrs. Mildred MacKenzie of Lincoln and Mrs. Nettie Robertson of North Jay; two brothers, Clair Beatham of Torrington, Conn. and Ernest Beatham, Lynnfield, Mass., 13 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at the Harvard H. Clark Funeral Home, 55 South Main St. Brwer, Wednesday at 1 p.m. Friends may call at the funeral home today 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
