Louis worked for the Northern Pacific railroad and drove the old steam engines. He started firing on the Northern Pacific in 1908 and was an engineer from 1917 to May 4, 1959 when he reached 70 years of age. All of his brothers worked on the railroad as well.
Louis was cremated and his ashes are at the Fairmount Memorial Park.
