Word has been recieved of the death of Clyde F. Sampson, 56,
of 223 Valley View Drive, Hurricane, who died Tuesday Morning at
Thomas Memorial Hospital in South Charleston.

Mr Sampson was an employee of Union Carbide Corp., a Veteran of
the U. S. Navy and a member of the Forest Burdette United Methodist
Church.

Surviving are one daughter; Mrs Douglas Erwin, of Tampa Fla.; two
sons; Jim of Salem, Ohio; and Eddie of Milton, W. Va.; his mother Mrs
Ocie Craddock; one brother, Leslie Sampson, of Parkersburg; one
sister, Mrs Babe Bennett, of Hurricane; and three grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, 2 p.m. at the Forest Burdette
United Methodist Church, with Rev. William Slates officiating. Burial will
be in Vally View Cemetery.

Friends may call after 2 p.m. today at the Allen Funeral Home.
