On February 6, 2015, Somerset Cemetery Manager Tricia Neal wrote:
I do have record of Mary Allen being buried at the Somerset City Cemetery in 1928. I can’t find any record of John, but they didn’t keep very good records here until 1927, so, since Mary is here, we can probably assume John is as well. Their graves are apparently unmarked. I have gone to the section and lot Mary is listed as being buried in, and there is just an open space – no markers. When I have more time, I can investigate further and make sure their markers didn’t possibly fall over and get buried over the years, which is occasionally what happens. For now, though, I can definitely confirm that Mary Catherine Jasper Allen is buried here, and that John Newton Allen is likely beside her. (Thanks to Tricia Neal for providing this information.)
