: Elizabeth (Milliron) Welsh was the 4th child (of 8) of parents John Milliron and Elizabeth Whitehead (anglicized from Weisskopf) of Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.

Elizabeth married John Welsh in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania in January of 1820. Later that same year in November she gave birth to her first child Susanne (Welsh) Heistand. Her first four children would be born in Pennsylvania. Elizabeth moved with her husband and children to Hancock County Ohio in 1834 where her husband secured land in Cass Township.

Elizabeth’s husband John and elder son Orbison Welsh would become founders of the first Methodist Church in Arcadia, Ohio.

In her elder years, Elizabeth went to live in the home of her youngest daughter Belle (Welsh) Ebersole and son-in-law Austin Ebersole in Washington Township, Hancock County, south of Arcadia. Elizabeth died exactly three months after her 83rd birthday. Forty-two years later her youngest daughter Belle would die at exactly the same age, to the day, as her mother Elizabeth, in the exact same house.

This contributor is a direct descendant of Elizabeth (Milliron) Welsh through her youngest daughter Belle (Welsh) Ebersole and granddaughter Gertrude (Ebersole) Creighton.
