Hazel Deloris Biddle was the 6th of nine children of George Francis Biddle and Clara Louise Batt. Other siblings include: Elnora Noreen, Torrence Richard, Calvin Cornelius, Orion Mathias, Clarabelle Louise, Alberta Christine, Albert Jerome and Martha Jane.
Hazel married Russell Clyde Leonard on August 8, 1925. They had three children: Marjorie Jean, Russell Edward and a male infant that was stillborn.
